ESS-Audio Chip beeping on Notebook

Hey everyone,

just after having installed my version of Red Hat 6.2 on my 
notebook, the ESS-audiochip of the machine beeps continuingly 
without making any break - I think it's quite a new chipset (ESS 
1969 or SOLO 1) so does anyone know how to fix this problem ?
