Setup

When I run setup in either a terminal window or from a text login, the
graphics are shown as a bunch of control characters.  It is very difficult
to read.  It happens with either an STB video card or a Matrox Millennium
AGP card.  The motherboard is an Intel AL440 with a 266Mhz chip.
