Easy way:

Download the kernel from 6.0 (which used a somewhat patched version of
2.2.5), and install using the --oldpackage directive:

rpm -Uvh --oldpackage kernel-2.2.5-15.0.i386.rpm

I'm not sure about that filename...it's been a while since 6.0.

Hard way:

Download the old kernel 2.2.5 from kernel.org and compile it from
scratch. Read the kernel compile HOWTO for the lowdown on doing that.

Now...My question for you: Why downgrade to an older kernel??
