I'd not suggest using that kernel, I believe 2.2.0 -.9 or was it .11 have
problems?

IT's as simple as recompiling the kernel and installing it.

I'd suggest reading thru "http://www.redhat.com/support/docs/kernel.html";
to help you along the way.
