I suggest PuTTY, SecureCRT, and TetraTerm.
All are avail thru tucows.com
Putty & Tterm are free, whereas SecureCRT is sharewar, and will cost about
$100 to register it.
I do propose you try them and see which works best for you.
To test SSL, https://ipaddress/ or telnet address 443
