RE: [ping/telnet not working]

i am trying to connect just two PC. pc is a dual boot (w/ win2000)
i tried other IP address (this has the same result as your recommendation),
please see below the result. still both can't do telnet/ping. thanks again

I would start off by makeing the observation that these two machines are in
different networks (according to you hosts file) (Try changing the IP of pc2
by doing an ifconfig eth0 169.254.135.132 mask 255.255.255.0)
Are the machines conected through a Router, Switch or a hub?
What are the default gateways for the two machines?
