Gnome Questions

Hey all!
I just did a fresh install of RH6.0... and normally on
a fresh install, Gnome has some default icons. This
time, I fire up Gnome... and no icons. So I figured
"Hey, easier to customize"... but I can't add icons
either. Attempting to drag a new icon seemsmake the
icon disappear behind the background image (as soon as
you let go of the mouse button).

Everything else about X, enlightenment, and gnome seem
to work fine... I'm running the i386 arch with the
updated rpms for gnome, enlightenment and XFree86 from
RH6.0 Errata and updates.
