RE: X Prob in Resolution?

Leonard,
if you read the rest of the thread then you would see that for some reason
he can only run the X server at 640x480 so setting lines for 800x600 doesnt
really help very much...

Just to let you know that you can indeed run the refresh rate too high,
unfortunately i have blown a monitor in the past because of this so I know
that this can be done.

Therefore this proves my point that you can run at a higher refresh rate
than what is best for your system ?? :-)

Okay, so how does all of this help the person that has got a problem here ??
Its nice to know that you like running the screen res at 800x600 but it
really doesnt help anyone else (including myself) that prefer the screen to
be at 1024

Just my opinion...
