You've mentioned an area that will prove lucrative in the near future.
But I know of no videoconferencing package for Linux at this time. 

Have you researched Windows solutions so you'll have a baseline to
compare Linux vc'ing to? For example, there's Intel ProShare but I
believe it's in the $8000 range, far beyond the $1200 you mention. My
guess is that if you can do it for $1000 or less, you'll have a great
package to offer your clients.

Are you sure you need Mbone?

This is a hot topic.

Anyone can point me to linux videoconferencing resources? I am looking
for 
stuff that works point to point, allows vc'ing with people on other
platforms 
(h323 and all those kind of standards). Any solution should work with
bttv 
based capture cards at the bare minimum. 

I've been searching for a bit now and all I've found falls under a few 
categories 

1)expensive (up to us$1200) 2)requires mbone 3)requires either a
quickcam or 
specialized vc hardware 


Any ideas?
