I can't reject spammers adresess using sendmail 8.9.3

Greetings, I wanted to test whether the antispam features of
sendmail(v8.9.3) and fetchmail work so to exclude all mail from
cybergold.com I did this, edited /etc/mail/deny (it was empty) and added
the line "cybergold.com REJECT" (without the quotes) and saved it and then
"makemap hash deny <deny" to create the deny.db file afterwards even after
restarting RH 6.0 I find that mail is _not_ rejected from those domains.

But linuxconf shows that cybergold.com is a rejected sender. So what could
I be doing wrong or am I missing something? I even can't reject local
users from my server.

I would really appreciate any help from all of you out there!
