Re: gnome/e configuration?

Well, tom, I am extremely offended at your even considering posting such a topic
to this list! But as your name is Tom Cooper (a famous naff British comedian)
and my name is Paul Newman, I will somehow bring myself to tell you where to
answer your question.

First are you running the latest stable release of Enlightenment? - that is
0.16.3 / 0.16-3

I hope so, if not go to www.enlightenment.org.

Now it is in Enlnightenment you should make your changes as that is the window
manager and controls window-raising policy. You should be able to reach the
configuration options by right or middle-clicking on the desktop. You can also
look at the e-docs which is the help system contained within enlightenment,
again accessible by clicking on the desktop with the correct mouse button (cant
remember which!). There are menus and so on and this shouldnt be too hard to
follow. If it is, I suggest you give Linux a miss...

Subject: gnome/e configuration?

I know that this is not a gnome group, sorry if this post is offensively
off-topic.

I recently got frustrated with KDE, (It got totally munged after an
application crash, and I couldn't get it fixed, or get substantive help
fixing it from the KDE mailing list.)

I switched to Gnome/e. I like it, but I can't figure out how to set it up
so that I can click on a background window's icon on the panel and have it
brought to the forground. Can someone assist?

(When a window is not minimized, but only in the background. I know that I
can do it with the keyboard, but I'm used to doing it with my mouse, and
don't want to have to retrain my brain.)

Thanks!
Tom
