printing to a file

Hello,

I want to be able to print output from my programs, specifically StarOffice 
to a postscript file.  How can I accomplish this.  Is there a way to set up 
a printer in /etc/printcap that simply prints to a file instead of a device. 
 I tried setting lp=/tmp/outfile.ps, but that doesn't seem to work.  I am 
using lprng 3.6.12.  Thanks for any help that any of you can offer.
