I'm sure this question has been posted numerous times. The Physics
department at Sinclair Community College is trying to install Red Hat
6.1 on some newer Gateways having ATI Rage 128 video cards. We've
researched this problem and have found that the SuSE distribution has a
binary for this card. Will it work for RedHat 6.1? If not, is there
source for it available that could be compiled for the RH6.1
distribution? Here's the question found on the XFree86 FAQ's that
provides the information I'm working from.
Q.F25- Does XFree86 support the ATI Rage128?
SuSE has made available a Linux binary of a Rage128 server called
XFCom_Rage128. You can get this server at the XSuSE website.
As with all previous XFCom servers, sources for this server will be
included in the next XFree86 release.
Thank you in advance,
Art Ross
