General Protection Fault-I forgot

I forgot to mention that it does not seems to matter what we do with the
computer in the short time that it stays alive. For instance, if we boot
and let the computer sit at the text login screen, it will crash in 6-15
minutes.
Also, we disables APM in the BIOS--to no avail.
