Actually the problem stems from the fact that you are trying to install above cylinder 1024 on your
drive. This is a Bad Thing(tm)
If you choose "expert" at the boot prompt & use fdisk to look at the drive you'll see that the free
space is beyond 1024. That's way Druid is choking
Short answer; Free up some space below 1024 & create /boot there. Then you can build the rest of your
partitions where you want
