Does anyone know why the the Redhat 6.1 that I got last month as a
kernel version 2.2.12-20
but the Redhat 6.0 I was upgrading had version 2.2.14-15 ???
I just installed Mandrake 7 on another machine and it was the 2.2.14-15
kernel.
This is confusing.
The only thing I can see is the kernel continued to be developed under
6.0 even though 6.1 was released and stable, but with an older kernel. I
was just wondering if I should (if it ain't broke) upgrade the kernel in
my 6.1, or if anyone has had trouble with 6.1 with the newer kernel?
Bob
