Virtual and Real pop servers

Hi there;

I have setuped virtual sendmail for a couple of domains.
Every thing is fine, but I can not pop the mails from mail server.
when I telnet to virtual or Real domain I get the +OK messages.
then
 I type the user <user name> it asks ne for password.
It asks for password.
 I type pass < password> it says:
-ERR invalid usercode or password, please try again


I guess the problem is with PAM

I generated the VPOP users by linuxconf and have no idea about what has been
done with
PAM ( is there any relation between them?)

any help appriciated.
