	Does LILO boots linux  if its / is on the on an extended partition (
logical partition) I don' t think so. I mean if u write your lilo on to the boot
sector of the extended partition ( hda5 and above ). ????????????
	Its better to write on the MBR of the first disk. 
	Please correct me.
