look in /etc/sysconfig/network it should resemble this
NETWORKING=yes
FORWARD_IPV4=false
HOSTNAME=shonjir.neandertal.org
DOMAINNAME=neandertal.org
GATEWAY=192.168.1.1
GATEWAYDEV=eth0

Mind now these are my values and you will need to add your own and
restart networking.
