This might be a stupid question but...



Say I've got two mail hosts:

mail1.mydom.net
mail2.mydom.net

And those mail hosts both have mx entries for mydom.net(mail1 is 5 and
mail2 is 15) and then are both masquerading as mydom.net

Now say I have a user, bob, who is on mail2 but not mail1.

If I send mail to bob mydom net will the user receive it?  In other words
does mail sent to a domain whose mx is multiple hosts check all of those
hosts for the user or does it just check the lowest preference number and
if the user does not exist it is returned undeliverable?

I think that was confusing but hopefully some understands...
