SUMMARY - IP masquerade question

The problem was fixed by plugging both the Win98 box and linux server
into a hub instead of directly connecting the network cards with
a non-cross-over RJ45 cable.

Thanks to Andy and Nabeel for their suggestions to use either a
crossover cable or a hub.  Special thanks to Henri for his help
and patience!
