Hi all,
I have asked this before ..and am asking again .....I have the source of
apache installed to
/usr/local/src/apache_1.3.12 and apache to /usr/local/apache . I need to
recompile apache
with DSO support, PHP4, SSL, a newer version of MySQL and maybe Java. RPM
upgrade
is not an option.
How best should I go about this so that I have the option to revert to my
original setup
in case I screw up ? FYI I backup my entire hard drive to a Tape Drive using
taper.
This is my Test Server for my portal site which is hosted elsewhere . We
use Linux in our company
because I insisted on it ..and If I manage to mess things up ..........I'll
be in big trouble .
Thanks in advance
Anurag
