Can the two machines ping each other?
Can the Windows machine connect to a Samba share directly
("\\linuxbox\sharename" in the "Run")?
If yes to both of those, but still not visible in the Net'hood,
check to make sure both machines are using the same workgroup name
(and/or domain name), and that nmbd is running on the Linux box.
