RAM

Hi
        I have 128MB RAM,but it shows 16 disks of 4096K size each. that's
64 MB right.How should i correct the problem,after doing append="mem=128M"
i see same 16 disks ....if i have 2 separate 64MB RAM chips,would that be
a problem.
