RH6.2 install with Promise Ultra/66

Greetings,
I have a 30GB Segate UDMA 66 drive connected to a Promise Ultra/66
controller.  The drive is partitioned (with fdisk).  The first 15GB is
Win98.
I tried to install RH 6.2 on the remainder of the drive, but when I boot
from
the floppy to start the install, it does not see the hard drive.

I have done some research, but haven't found the exact steps to follow so
I can install RH 6.2.

Anybody got the recipe ?

Here's what I think.
1.  change the drive to UDMA 33.
2.  Connect drive to motherboard UDMA 33 ide port.
3.  Install RH 6.2 on remainder of drive.
4.  Download kernel 2.2.16.
5.  download ATA patch and apply to 2.2.16 kernel.
6.  download updated LILO (boot past cylinder 1024 problem)
7.  change the drive to UDMA 66 and connect to Promise Ultra/66.
8.  boot into RH, modify LILO to allow booting Win98 & RH 6.2.

Is there a better/faster way to do this ?
