Re: a blonde moment [ Late ] > Linux Single CAN be Secure.

	There is a solution.

Use a rescue disk to boot. By the RH6.2 CD OR RH6.0 's boot.img and
rescue.img. dd these images to make two disks. Disk #1 is the boot.img and
Disk #2 is rescue.img. First boot from the boot.img. At LILO: type rescue and
press enter. Then when it asks insert the second rescue disk . u will be
dropped to a shell.
Mount the root partition of your HDD and edit the /etc/passwd OR the
/etc/shadow file. Delete the string starting ftom the first ':' (eg.
root:asdfasf32142134235sefr:) till the second ':" . Save the fiile, umount and
reboot and login as root. There is no password.

BTW if u add restricted and password=Your_Password (on two diff
lines) in your /etc/lilo.conf and run lilo command then it will ask for this
password if u want a linux single.
