_if_ that doesn't work, boot to linux using your floppy
login as root and do the following:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/hda bs=1024 count=10
change hda to sda if you have a scsi boot disk
the count isn't really import,
even wiping only the first 1024 bytes of the disk
with count=1 would probably work.
