Thank you, Jamin.

Let me make this quite clear. First, the question asked:

Now I admit I am not Brad, but I responsed anyway. Now, my response:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
http://www.linuxdoc.org/

If you ever think, "How do I do ??? with/under Linux?"
This should be one of your first stops--before any lists.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now if anyone wants to explain to me how that is RTFM, I'm all
ears, but it looks a lot like "answering the question" to me.

Further, I stand behind my advice to consult the HOWTos, etc.
_before_ coming to the list. I know that a newbie may not
understand 99% of what he would find there. That doesn't matter.
The point is that the 100th topic that he tries this with he
might actually understand, or perhaps partially understand,
and at the very least, he has learned where to go to find
this information. Afterward, if the topic is still unclear,
he is welcome to ask around.

C'mon, people.
Do we teach people to fish or do we just give out fish?
