Subject: Getting rid of Windows MBR

Hi all,

I'm having problems mounting a vfat drive that was previously used with
Win98.  I would like to access the data, but the kernel can't mount it at
boot and it crashes LILO to LI<freeze>.  I think the disk has the Windows
MBR set and that is causing the probs.  If I boot from a floppy, I have no
probs mounting the drive as vfat.

I remember someone talking about how to clear the Windows 95/98 MBR about
two months ago, but I can't get access to the archive to search it.  Does
anyone remember the command from the Win boot disk?

Thanks,
Drew
