burning a redhat cdrom

Hello

I downloaded the file 7.0-i386-disc1.iso..iso and burnt it on a cd (using a
favorite windoz burner).
So when I browse the cd it contains just one (big) file. No wonder I can't
boot from it. I boot through a boot disk. Then the installation hangs on the
message: " I could not find a RedHat Linux cdrom in any of your cdrom
drives. Please insert the Red Hat CD and press "OK" to retry".
Now I can look into the big file through
     mount /mnt/cdrom
     mount -t iso 9660 -o ro,loop=/dev/loop0
/mnt/cdrom/7.0-i386-disc1.iso..iso /cd
     ls /cd
Only then I can see the normal content of a distribution CD (and make a boot
floppy!!)
What did I do wrong?
Yes I read the related Howto.

Eudes
