For a small number of systems, you could just edit /etc/hosts to contain all
the machines you want to refer to by name.  Otherwise, you could set up a
small local DNS without too much hassle.  I have such a set up here for an
internal network of about 15 systems.  Works well :)  It kept me from
editing 15 different /etc/hosts files, and taught be a bit about DNS.  Up to
you.  To get the DNS set up, just install the bind rpms and get a hold of
the howto's.  They are fairly complete.  Good luck.
