Well, firstly I am not a very experienced user, however this is one of the
few things I have discovered ;-)
All my log files for ipchains get thorwn into /var/log/messages. Yeah,
in the same way as probably with you, just ip addresses which are very
fifficult to read and decypher.
I found a great program to then read the log file. This program is called
fwlogwatch, and does I think exactly what you would like, as well as
deferenciating the domain names of most ip addresses and such. Take a look
