I am setting up a new computer with linux and this one will
have a larger hard drive about 10 gig.
On another computer I am using:

/usr
700MB
/var
151MB
/usr/local
120MB
/home
100MB
swap
256MB (= to memory)
/usr/src
11MB
The above is on a computer with a much smaller HD. For this
computer I will only run linux. I will be installing as much software as I can
get my hands on and there will only be two users. This computer will be for
learning and will have almost all services running at one time or another. I
will be installing everything on the install cd's (RH 7.0 for now).
