The IP information I would guess you can dig through RFCs on IP or get a good book on home networking. As for the Xwindows bit Your best bet is VNC so go to google and search for it.

Can you suggest me then how do I network it so that I am able to use 
X-windows .
And if possible can you suggest me any url where I can get a bit more 
information mabout the IP address stuff
