Folks,
I got it to work the brute-force way:
(A) gather the list of required rpm's from the KDE website
(B) execute a little script that installs each, in order, ignoring
dependencies. the script is just a bunch of lines like 'rpm --upgrade
--nodeps ...'
(C) execute a little script that verifies each, in order. the script is just
a bunch of lines like 'rpm --verify ...'
(D) scrounge around rpmfind to get the remaining rpm's, and install them.
This is quite ugly, but after doing so I have not only a working list of
which rpm's need to be installed, but a script to install and a script to
verify.
Something neater would be a nice contribution to the community. Any
volunteers?
