redhat linux6.2 installation on Intel

Hi,
   I am installing redhat linux 6.2 on intel m/c , but it hangs while
restarting the m/c after installation and following is message it gives :

kernel panic: Attempted to kill the idle task !
In swapper task - not syncing.

Intel m/c is having 262Mb of ram .Does linux 6.2 support this or not ?
I have tried the installation with swap partition as 512Mb , 256Mb , 128Mb.
But eache time the same error is comming . Pl help me .
