I'm guessing you have pnp turned on. Have you tried turning it off?
The stock has usually worked for me. But, you can try downloading the one
from the Linksys website, compiling that and see if it works.
Another possibility is to try using the old_tulip driver instead.
The tulip driver has been a problem for awhile. Linksys puts out new cards
and new drivers. At the same time, drivers get rewritten to fix problems
that occur with newer cards and that sometimes (usually) breaks something
in the older cards.
Lastly, you could go back to the dlink card and try the ol' insmod/rmmod
tricks to see if you can get that to work.
