Re: 7.1 is out soon

     this sounds like the problem that I had with sound modules.
here is my post and the reply:

    Add the line

    path[sound]=/lib/modules/kernel/drivers/sound

    to your /etc/modules.conf file, and move the module emu10k1.o to the above
directory. In fact, you can keep all modules related to sound in the above
directory, and the above procedure applies to all the other categories of
modules as well.
