Hi all,

Very shortly , we plan to sell subscriptions to the pay area 
of our website . Typically a user would by a 'membership' 
kit which would contain a numeric 'activation key' .

The user then registers on the website and goes to the 
subscription zone where he/she enters the activation code
which includes the following info : ( duration of membership
AND the batch # of generation of the key for tracking purposes )

I would be grateful if someone would explain to me what *exactly*
I need ...I mean  how should I frame my requirement , when I talk
to the software vendors ?

FYI we use the Linux-Apache-Mysql-PHP platform.
