going online!

hello,

i have installed my U.S Robotics external modem on my
system running Red Hat 7.
when i query modem with "kppp" it gives me answer. but
the ISP setting which i have done is i think not
right.
can any one tell me how can i setup an ISP connection
on my system to go online with RedHat 7, & is it
necessary to ask the ISP if they support Linux.
