Paralell port cd-burner in 7.1

Hi,

    I just installed 7.1 on a new machine (amd 1Gz) but I
can't get my Philips cdd3610 paralell port cd-burner to work.



I do the following.

modprobe paride

modprobe epat

modprobe pg



and the burner seems to be there.



However cdrecord -scanbus tells me this:

cdrecord: Inappropriate ioctl for device. Cannot send SCSI
cmd via ioctl



What's up?

This worked fine in RH 6.2.
