Hello all,
I'm a Newbie who recently switched over from trying to run debian totrying
to run RedHat. The reason being that it is more supported by data centers.
Any way enough about me.
I am trying to get Gnome to work.
I edited the file "Xclients" the way the book told me (learning RedHat Linux
- Oreily)
The file looks like this:
#!/bin/bash
gnome-session
##
and resides in root and in /home
But when I startx it is just the regular X Window interface. GNO GNOME
I noticed that the heading of the paragraph that shows me how to do this is
called "Launching GNOME and Enlightenment"
Could it be that I don't have Enlightenment installed?
If so is there another way to run GNOME?
Or should I install Enlightenment from the CD?
As you can see I'm a Newbie. Thanks for any help.
Anthony
