#switchdisk
and choose GNOME from that tool

Gnome runs perfectly well on RedHat 6.0. I can vouch for that since
I am typing this on Balsa which is running under Gnome and ontop
of RH6.0.
I did have occasion to upgrate to the Ximian Gnome at one point
tho.
If i recall when I started x for the first time, Redhat gave me a
default
WM I can't remember what it was, but there was an option on the
window menu to use Gnome or KDE, I chose to use Gnome and have
had no cause to regret it.
