can u tell me what is the resolution of ur screen?
like 640x480 or 800x600?

as it it possible that u have a small screen area so
that's why u may get that error. i had that error but
that was just bcz of  my screen size. if so & u have
configured ur vga card with 800x600 u can try
Ctrl+Alt++ (plus sign or minus sign will work here
with combination of ctrl+alt).
