I just read this and thought I may have a related issue.
My resolution is stuck on 640X480. and the ctrl+alt++ doesn't work for me.
When I installed I specified 3 different resolutions but cannot get to any
of them except 640X480.
Is there a place to adjust resolution?
Maybe in the linuxconf or xf86Config?

Thanks for the help.
