Apache and PHP

Hello!
We have Apache-1.3.6-7 and mod_php3-3.0.7-4 on our system.
rpm -q shows for both that they are installed.
How can we see if the php module is activated in apache or not, and with
which
features?
Following the installation instructions we made the file info.php3 with
the contents
phpinfo() , but addressing that file we get nothing, only the content is
displayed.
