Just FWIW, I'm in total agreement with Grendel here. I bought a Courier
V.Everything a long time ago for $300 and have never regretted it. I've
used it with Linux and Windows even in places like St. Petersburg, Russia.
It performed magnificently (which is quite a feat when your modem is
attached to the phone line by alligator clips). If you are forced to use
a modem, break down and get the best -- its worth it.
