Ralph,
yes I know I was trying to install a .src rpm. This was by design, and I do
have everything I need to do the rebuild. It still doesn't work because
of ???

I never install other peoples binary rpm's (although I do know this netscape
source rpm contains executable binaries from netscape).

I'm simply trying to figure out how to make my system work again with newer
rpm's that are showing up these days.

I've been told that I need to upgrade rpm to 4.0.2, so I guess that is the
answer.
