You want to get your hands on the sick f***k that started this? His
name is Bill Gates and he works for the largest purveyor of insecure
and unreliable software in the world.
I can't wait to see what happens when hackers break into .NET servers
and start shuffling credit card data.
As you probably know (since you are a Linux user) the effects
on your box are merely corrolary results of the worm's port-scanning
activities. A firewall appliance would help.

I'll tell you what, that damned virus is affecting the web server on my
Linux box a lot.
My access and error logs are ballooning. I must be getting a hit every few
seconds from infected computers on my Speakeasy DSL network, 64.81.0.0. I'm
only on a 144K IDSL connection and it is slowing me down considerably. It is
very fortunate for me that I don't have anything critical on it, or I would
be SOL. Nevertheless, I would like to get my hands on the sick f**k that
started it,
