My USB laser Intellimouse works fine, as do the two normal Intellimice
that I have. It is a (recent) X thing, and the app has to support it.
The area in the XF86Config(-4, in my case) looks like this:
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "off"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection
It is the ZAxisMapping setting that sets up the wheel. Mozilla works, but
I think you have to hack around a bit to get it working in Netscape. I
don't know any more than that.
